Group Sites C and D (map)

This year’s spring packout is just around the corner!  May 5-6 at Chatfield State Park. For those families new to Pack 872 or those who have never attended this memorable event, this a great introduction to camping.  One night only. Meals provided. Entertainment provided.  All family members welcome. Join us for the camping or just the activities and dinner.

Official check in will start at noon on May 5th, 2018. Early check in/set up 9:30 for geocache hike. (But you can arrive/depart at any time) Check out will be no later than noon on May 6th, 2018.

Set up in group campsite C or D area. We have spots for up to 8 campers/pop-ups, so please sign up for a camper/pop-up spot if you will need it. We also have group site C for Friday night in order to set up. Friday night is considered "family camping" and is not a BSA sanctioned event, but it is always fun and we could use help setting up (bring your own food; grills will be available).

Bring your own lunch on Saturday.

Deadline to sign up is April 20th, so don't delay! $15/adult, $5/child, Cub scouts and children 5 and under are free. Dinner only is $5/adult, $3/child. Saturday’s activities are free for all (but please sign up so I can keep track of the numbers).  Friday night “family camping” is $25 per family (no food provided so bring your own dinner, but grills will be available). Payment due on registration. Entrance fee to the state park is $8.00/vehicle (daily pass) or $70.00 (annual pass).

More details will be sent out closer to the packout.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. No alcohol, drugs, or firearms as outlined in the BSA policy. All parents must have current Youth Protection Training (open) .

All attendees (including adults, scouts, and siblings) must bring with them medical forms Part A and B (download)! You will be required to fill one out there if you do not bring one.  You may scan your forms and email them to me ahead of time if you’d like.

In order for this campout to be a success we need your help. Volunteer opportunities will be sent out.
